I'm trying to stop my artistic constipation by being more regular with finishing my artwork. HA! Regular, get it?!

If you could see my office and see how many sketches and art I've got half-finished on my computer it would shock you. It's not that I've stopped producing work that's finished, it's just not stuff that I feel like posting that's good enough for public viewing. So, this one was a treat to finish and get up here for critique.

I've had an idea for a long time to come up with a comic that's about a younger, female Sherlock-Holmes type of character and stories. Perhaps a female descendant of Sherlock? Who knows?! The idea was just stuck in my head and I had to get it out somehow. I'm pleased with the outcome and I'm sure I'm being influenced by something, but I'll be danged if I can figure it out right now. Also, I don't condone smoking and I actually hate it. However, I think a pipe looks cool and it's so Sherlock Holmes that I had to add it in. Somehow on her it looks sexy and fun. My grandfather smoked a pipe and it's the only kind of smoke I can stand the smell of. Sweet, like I think she would be, but smart, strong, and highly addictive, also like pipe smoke!
