Orange Blues: 'SITTING ROBOT'

Ok, this one was what started it all so it's not quite as nice as the others but it does hold a special place in my heart. I had thought of an entire story based around this robot that was trying to figure out his place in the grand scheme of things. He was a fruit-picker robot and I thought he might have a lot to say about his plight in life. Fruit picking is done primarily by migrant workers in Florida and it's really depressing to watch them working as you travel though the back orchards around the state that a lot of tourists don't get to see a whole lot. It's not like you'd probably think of when I describe it though. It's not like the "Okey-Grapes-Of-Wrath-Dust-Bowl" type of migrancy where they only get paid a nickel for a day's labor. However, I do think it's got to be horribly sweaty, all-day sort of work that would just be atrocious by any means.
